All the cards are on the table now as Macedon makes advances for the solo victory, and grabs five shiny new centres to bring his total to nineteen... just one shy of the required solo benchmark. Perhaps facetiously, we also have a proposed Persian solo, for which your votes will be required. That aside, what anti-Macedon coalition there might be has got to get its soldiers to the front! There is no certain twentieth centre for Macedon if all commit to stopping the heir of Alexander.

Yet after eight years, we have our first elimination, as we bid farwell to Ionia. A big thank you to Mike for stepping into the void left behind when your predecessor abdicated. It was a tough spot, and you kept on to the end.

We'll have a longer autumn/winter turn than usual, due to some technical difficulties. Autumn deadline is 28 November, 20:00 GMT. Winter deadline is 1 December, same time.
