Germany disbands A Pic, Italy retreats F Rom - Lig, and Poland retreats F Swe - Bal. The deadline for Winter 2001 is this Friday, December 3, at 9 pm eastern.
There is a proposal for a DIAS (note this does not include Britain because he is in CD). Votes for this proposal will be due with spring orders.

To France:
As promised, my army PIC disband. I hope you can keep your promise to keep our border clear.
Please move your fleet down to Spain. About Belgium, please take it next Fall.
To Turkey:
As you see what Poland say...I will support you to Hungary next round...hope you do well in Ukraine.
To Egypt: You need to support Turkey...as Poland is taking Middle East...
Press #2:
Poland to France: Why have we wasted our time for a DIAS? No. A German solo, a G/P, a G/T/P, a G/I/P, or even a G/T/P/F/E are doable right now. Once Germany beats me down some more, G/T/F/E maybe, but DIAS is dumb.
Poland to Germany: Please reconsider your actions. France is not your friend.
But whatever, if I feed you SCs, can you solo or guarentee me a part of a non-DIAS draw? Or we work something out to get back to a parity?
Poland to Turkey: Turn the fleets man. Just look at Italy for confirmation of the value of your new ally's friendship. Remember I didn't hit an ally or go back on something I said I'd do. I've been that way with B, U, G, R and even you. I'm saying turn the fleets now and you shalln't fear me (or what's left of me).
Poland to Egypt: Nice.
Press #3:
Turkey to All- hoorah for the alliance! I see it now, Poland is the Empire and I was under the influence of the dark side, fortunately some Egyptian jedi set me straight, and now I call him best friend. Lets push those storm troopers back! hoorah!
Turkey to Poland- mwooohahahahaa

ITALIAN PRESS - Autumn 2001
Mario: Luigi! Luigi! Come to here quick, we have the good news!
Luigi: Good news? That would be most odd these times, Mario.
Mario: It is a letter from Peach!
Luigi: From Peach? Why not say so right away? Open it, open it!
Mario: (rrrrrippp...) It say:
Dear Boys,
How are you? I miss you both so much, but I am having a wonderful
time on my world cruise with Yoshi. We have seen so much and made
so many new friends in America and now the Far East. You would not
believe what a fuss the Japanese made over us. It was as if we were
visiting royalty!
It is so amazing that I am even on this cruise. I didn't even
remember buying the raffle ticket, but you know how I like to
support the local charities. The only bad part was that I found out
only at the last minute when Shy Guy told me I had won the Grand
Prize! We were rushing here and there to get packed and we just
made the ship before it left port. If it hadn't been for Shy Guy we
never would have made it. And he was so nice to take you my note
explaining everything.
Naturally, then, I was very confused when I recently happened upon
an issue of People magazine that mentioned there had been some
trouble in Italia, and that you boys were looking for me. How did
you forget where I am? Did you not get my postcards? Did you not
see the weekly video letters I have been making of my trip? I sent
everything back through the embassy with Shy Guy's name on it so
that he could pass it straight to you. I knew that putting his name
on it would mean it would be seen right away and get to you quickest.
Yoshi says not to worry, but you know I just can't help it. I'm
sending this letter to you via my sister Apricot, just in case there
is some problem with the embassy mail. I expect you will find that
some clerk somewhere has piled all my correspondence in a box
somewhere. It will no doubt make a funny story some day.
I must go now. We're pulling into port in Hong Kong, and I don't
want to miss the shopping tour!
XOXO,
Peach
Luigi: Oh, my!
Mario: Oh, my, MY!
Luigi: It would seem we have made mistakes.
Mario: Si, and said things we should not have said.
Luigi: Done things we should not have done.
Mario: Oh, boy. That Shy Guy has really set us up good. I hate that guy!
Luigi: I too hate that guy. Where is he?
Mario: In Roma, showing the Egitto asps where we keep the silverware.
Luigi: I thought so. Well, we cannot get to him. What shall we do?
Mario: I think we must be big men and say the sorries.
Luigi: Si, it is the only way. I shall write to Turkey and Ukraine and Poland. You shall write to France and Germany.
Mario: We shall say sorry to the France and Turkey for saying they take Peach. We shall say sorry to our friends for saying wrong things, too, even though we did not on purpose say wrong. We shall then ask that all the countries stop the fighting and that peace should come.
Luigi: And then we must both say sorry to our people of Italia to explain how we were fooled by Shy Guy. They suffer the more than we.
Mario: What about Egitto? I do not think he want to stop fighting.
Luigi: We can only do what we do to defense Italia and hope maybe the others will not help him to destroy us all the way.
Mario: You have it right, Luigi. Let us get to this work of turning vinegar back into wine.
Luigi: Si. Ciao, Mario.
Mario: Ciao, Luigi. |
