Egypt builds A Cai and F Ale, Germany builds A Fra, A Ber, and F Ham, and Italy disbands A Pic. The deadline for Spring 2002 orders and press and votes for the DIAS is this coming Tuesday, December 5, at 9 pm eastern.

Press #1:
Egypt to Turkey: As I tried to attack upon taking over Egypt, we got off to a rough start. But I saw the error in my ways, and hope we can continue to cooperate in good faith. I'm sure you noticed that I moved my fleet to the Red Sea - I not only want to stop Poland, but push him back and take Iran. I also figure that fair is fair - moving the Egyptian fleet south allows you to more easily move the Turkish fleets north. In the middle east, I obviously won't take Irk this spring, but with your help I should be able to take it in the fall.

ORDERS:
E: F Syr S A Ada
E: F Ale - Lbn
T: A Ada S A Jor - Irk.

Egypt to France: If the Italian keeps A Apu, I'll cut any support it provides to Venice. If he drops it, I'll move the army to Apu and provide you support into Ven. Net-net: you should definitely be able to take Venice with A Tus by the fall. This assumes, of course, that he keeps F Lig.

Egypt to Italy: Mario and Luigi, the Tut is coming! Cleopatra will have her revenge!

Egypt to Poland: And now the pain comes.

Press #2:
ITALIAN PRESS - Winter 2001

/An open letter to the German Chancellor:/

Herr Kraut,

You breaking my heart.

Why you helping Frog-face? He no friend of Germania. You letting him talk you into fight your friend Polandia, who do nothing to you and tell you no lies. You find love with pretty Paris girl or something? Very sad you throw over friends for pretty face.

I want to ask for help to get Milan back to Italia, but I think you too loving pretty face, and too scared of pretty face's brothers in Bre/Par/Pic/Lon. What you think? Those brothers going to sit still and do nothing forever? Do not be the fool for love, Herr Kraut.

I think you go almost too far already, but it not too late. Help me have back Milan. My good friend Spagna is to gain back his homeland, and he shall help us. We three shall have Mil/Swi/Mon/Mar, and be in time to grow and stop Egitto and stop Francia before he can hurt back except a little. Also no change to your line with Polandia.

Please think of it, Herr Kraut.

Your always friend,
Mario

p.s. Be looking out for Francia in Wales. You know those sneaky Frog-faces up to something over there!

Press #3:
France to Italy: I'm glad your Peach is alright! She's much safer in Hong Kong than in Italy right now. If you have disbanded F LIG, we can talk; otherwise, you'll understand my continuing suspicion.

France to Germany: I won't attack you as long as you and Poland are at war, but that doesn't mean I'm going to attack Spain just because you say so. Also, if Poland starts feeding you SC, then I will demand to get some SC too, because I'm not supporting any solo.
France to Spain: You got the golden ticket with Britain's CD. Could you do me a favor and build those one at a time? That way you can build 2 fleets (if you need them), and you aren't as tempted to attack me next year. Please pull your army back now.

France to Poland: I didn't propose the DIAS. I would like to see some kind of draw including those powers that still have some power. I think Turkey has earned his way out of a draw unless he can redeem himself with some real fighting. G/P obviously belong, and France belongs. Please don't be a baby and give Germany your SC. This game has had so much of that, "If you stab me, I'll take my toys and go home!" behavior. Just fight, earn a draw, and enjoy the game. Look at Wikileaks: diplomacy isn't a buddy movie, it's about advancing national interest.

France to Turkey & Egypt: Good job building trust, guys. You've got an excellent line now, and Turkey's fleets guarantee long-term control of the Black Sea basin. Sorry about disbanding that Venice army, Turkey. You'll have armies in Illyricum in no time, I'm sure!

Press #4:
Spain to France: I will look for your advice on Paris this turn, but if I don't hear anything I will leave it alone. Despite Germany's request I would like to see your fleet stay away from my territory.

Diplomacy games may contain lying, stabbing, or deliberately deceiving communications that may not be suitable for and may pose a hazard to young children, gullible adults, and small farm animals.
