Turkish troops enter Rome and Trieste, pushing Austria to the brink of extinction and bringing the prospect of an eternal Ottoman Empire ever closer. Meanwhile Germany and England continue to slug it out, with German forces taking Norway, with Turkish assistance.

There were two retreats this season. Austrian A Trieste will go to Albania as there is nowhere else to go. Germany must retreat A Burgundy, which can go to Gascony, Ruhr, Belgium or Munich. Dan, please let me know your retreat as soon as possible.

The deadline for the Fall moves is May 19th 2000 GMT. Sorry for the delay, but John is on holiday. If he does manage to submit orders before then, and they are all in, I will adjudicate early. It seems inconceivable that there will be any need for further moves. Contrary to what the press below may suggest, the fat lady has finished her scales and is having a final gargle before bursting into the Turkish national anthem.
