This game just gets more intriguing by the season! It's another rough season for Poland as Germany captures three more of his centers (two of them home centers), although the Poles do manage recapture Gdansk and take Sevastopol from Turkey. The Turks, however, make gains of their own by taking Serbia; joining them in the free-for-all of Italian centers are France and Germany, who take Venice and Croatia, respectively. This leaves the Italians on the brink with just one center as they do assimilate their spring gain of Milan. We also see potential issues with the France/Germany peace as France sails into Belgium, and the resurgence of Spain begins as the Iberians assimilate Sevilla and make sure Barcelona stays open for the build.
The proposal for the German solo failed. There is a proposal for a draw including all active players except Italy. Votes for this proposal will be due with Spring orders.
There is only one retreat: Polish A Kra may retreat to Pie, Slo, or OTB. That retreat and any Autumn press is due this Friday, December 17, at 9 pm eastern. Adjustments due will be posted with the Autumn adjudication.

Press #1:
Egypt to France: Bounce requested, bounce received. I sure hope that pesky Italian fleet goes away! I'm pulling my fleet off your coast ... I don't want you to think I have ill intentions. But please don't build a fleet in Mar with any upcoming build. Deal?
Egypt to Spain: I am comfortable with a resurgent Spain, and can see the benefits to Egypt if you do move north and pester Germany. To that end, yes, I would definitely like to work with you. I assume you will bounce the armies this round in Barcelona, and I'm even OK with a new F Bar. But please move it to And and then Gib. From there I will support you into Sao (after my fleet moves to Sog) to dislodge the English fleet. Meantime, your new F Svl can move into Por. Both fleets can then sail away into the north Atlantic, while I bunker down for a mojito in Mor. For my part, I'll only keep a single fleet adjacent to Spain and won't make any offensive actions. Deal?
Egypt to Poland: Good offer, but I can't flip flop on Turkey. Tell ya what, if Germany gets too strong in the next few years I'll stop pestering you. And I'll definitely back you up if Turkey moves his fleets south. But I do need to take ownership of Iran ... it's a backdoor to my unprotected SCs!
Egypt to Turkey: Moving into Ion so I can continue the assault on Italy. We'll figure out how to coordinate our actions in the Winter comments. Note: I would like to grab another SC ... perhaps Ven or Cro (France, your thoughts are welcome too). Afterward I can then help you hold the line against Poland/Germany.
Press #2:
France to Spain: if you have not withdrawn your army from Auvergne, I must begin questioning your motives (and encouraging Egyptian enforcement).
France to Germany: a move to Switzerland alone would be forgivable, but why did you support Italy into Milan? Everyone knows Milan is a French city now. I've moved aggressively against you this turn, but my aggression will only pay off if you do not do as you said. For instance, I will not take Munich if you withdraw A Swi as you promised. If you pull back this turn, peace can continue, but otherwise, I'm Poland's new best friend.
France to Italy: I'm hoping you'll dislodge me with an open retreat to Croatia. It's got better beaches than Venice, and the women don't have as many STI's.
Press #3:
ITALIAN PRESS - Fall 2002
A few quick shout-outs to the boys:
Germany: Grazie, my friend. It's nice to see Milan once more before I die. Sorry I guessed wrong with F Tuscany. Should have taken Monaco.
France: So glad to see that with everything going on, there is still a special place in your heart for Italia.
Spain: You're bumming me out, man, with those sweet nothings in frog-face's ear. Of course, unless you just sit there and twiddle the thumbs of five units simultaneously, you HAVE to be making mischief for one or the other of my chief tormentors very soon.
Turkey: I wish you hadn't done that.
Poland: Thanks for not swiping my dots... unless you just did. Oh, well.
Egypt: Go suck a squid, you twerp!
Press #4:
Turkey to Egypt- thanks for the support. You should get IRN next year, but you must push your fleet to ARA.
Turkey to Germany- Keep pushing, poland cant defend all fronts, Good to be in business.
Turkey to France- the italians are making a joke of your army, you are very noisy but with little substance!
Turkey to everyone- this game has come alive! fantastic! I love you all
Turkey to Poland- whilst you continue to take my sc and threaten me I cannot consider any other options. Back off.
Press #5:
Poland to France: Done. Is there an option for Italy to go neutral and be left alone so that you can focus north?
Poland to Turkey: Um. Both sides against the middle, you can't agree to support Egypt's invasion of IRK/IRN and then ask me for a cease fire. Especially after your recent "anti-polish" press. But as it is, I've got other issues to deal with that are more pressing - get your fleets out of the Black Sea, and I'll move forces to cover the north. Or, give your SCs to Egypt's stab and I'll be able to go north.
Poland to Egypt: Waiting and hoping.
Poland to Spain: Regardless of whether Egypt attacks, is sincere or what, please build fleets ASAP. That may mean no builds this turn.
Press #6:
Spain to France: Had to keep Barcelona empty in case Egypt moved against me. Auvergne isn't a threat to you. I'll actually move it when I can.
Spain to Egypt: Hopefully you've kept your resources available for the eastern part of the map? I will keep my word if your fleets aren't threatening.
