Quite a bit of guesswork for this turn, I suspect. Germany doesn't defend Belgium, but that doesn't matter, because the Italians opted for strategic positioning, only to find that their ally in Austria has been disbanded in Gascony. A strategic win for Germany there, even though Austria doesn't lose a center. Also a German success along the Baltic coast, as Germany opens Berlin up for a build, and Germany is in position to negate the Italian capture of Greece through a useful forward retreat, albeit to one that's rather a dead-end in Portugal. We'll see what happens there. Autumn 1909 retreat is due August 11th at 12:00 UTC. Either Russia or Turkey can also opt to pull their dislodged units off the board. Because the German retreat can affect the SC count, we won't do autumn and winter simultaneously this year.Â I'll do the retreat as soon as I'm able, even if before the deadline.
