It's on occasions like this that I like to break out the ol' abbreviated adjudication. It's abbreviated, because I only include movement orders that succeeded:

That's it. Five units move. Everybody else stays put. No dislodges, no retreats. And yet, for all of that stasis, I feel pretty sure that the Were-Hamsters will chalk up another +1 before year's end... leaving him at 17.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves. First, he must earn his 17th on the field of battle. Then, he can start worrying about lucky number 18. Fall 1910 will be due next Wednesday, one day after we learn who will be the U.S. President.

Just for the record... even though I live in Iowa, the Democratic Party has not been contacting me. The Republicans, however, ring up my house about eight times a day (Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich graced my voice mail yesterday). I find it strange that the Republicans don't have their information technology straightened out like the Democrats. For starters... I'm a registered Democrat... you'd think the Republicans might've figured that out. Also, I already voted. Three weeks ago. While my vote is secret, the fact of my having voted is public record -- Obama's team even uses that as a selling point: if you vote, we'll stop calling you. I find it annoying that the robo-call Republicans cannot figure out that I am most definitely not their target demographic.
