PREV  Spring 1910 Adjudication:  NEXT

Gentlemen, today we have a lesson to all about how important it is to read the rules thoroughly. For what was once a straightforward solo bid has now been severely crippled, perhaps irrevocably. This from the rulebook:

Movement between Egypt or Hejaz and the Mid-Atlantic Ocean is allowed. It is assumed the unit travels around the southern tip of Africa. A unit that moves in this manner does so at half strength.

And so, Britain succeeds in the sneakiest move I have yet seen, which forced me to go to the rulebook just to double-check that it was permitted. What this means for the outcome of the game, I cannot yet say, but it appears that we are not finished yet! No units were dislodged or disbanded; so Fall 1910 awaits us. In keeping with a shortened programme, and thus abandoning the Monday deadlines, the next will be on 20 May, 20:00 GMT. If anyone wishes to return to the weekly deadlines, please let me know.
