I suppose that makes things fairly clear! The pact must advance to the bitter end. Two retreats are needed; the second looks fairly bizarre, but that's just the way this game has gone! Should the pact break down, Italy appears to have the best chance, with an SC lead and a defensive line from Prague to Tunis.
