Many years have passed since Europeans last saw the Mongols and Arabs make serious assaults on their resource-rich fields and mines. Now it is the Chinese and Japanese who follow the old routes of incursion, although they also come up through Egypt and Mesopotamia. And yet, Germany appears to be playing nice with the Asian powers, with Austria possibly joining the ranks of powers on the decline.

I'll extend the deadline for the 3-way EGP; not voting is considered a Nay vote, but I was expecting a few more actual votes one way or the other. I interpret such silence as either apathy or ignorance.
