Yours is no disgrace
Spring 1912

Italian forces unleash hell on all fronts, sparing none in their path. The minor powers crumble and sue for peace. As the dust settles a new world order emerges, with the Italian president overseeing a western European empire to rival that of his Roman ancestors.

Yes, the game is over, with a solo win for John. Congratulations to him on achieving such a decisive win when just a few years ago the game looked to be sleepwalking to a draw. I now invite you all to broadcast your game-end statements. I have included all of the eliminated players, including our three representatives from France in this email so that we can try and get as many perspectives on the game as possible. Share your secrets, vent your spleen, have your say, pass on your congratulations and maybe even thank the GM ;-)

No doubt there will be some debate over the role of Germany in this game- the decision to work with Italy was an obvious turning point. It would be good to get an explanation from Felix. I think I know already what Mike thinks! I really want to know where that Austrian fleet might have gone if it wasn't so cruelly scuttled.

I will update everything in the DC site shortly so that the game is closed off properly.

The final standings were:
Austria: survival 4sc
England: eliminated
France: eliminated
Germany: survival 2sc
Italy: solo 20 sc
Russia: eliminated
Turkey: survival 8sc

Best wishes
Simon
