Hi All,
The citizens of Europe and Northern Africa, and the Middle East have many expressions on their faces, hope, joy, happiness, but the main expression is relief. Diplomats of the warning powers have put aside their bickering and agreed that Poland, Israel, and Ireland are the winners of the great war. As the partying begins in the streets, the citizens of the countries formerly known as Burgundy, Byzantium, Ukraine, and Spain wonder what could of been, while the populations of Hungary and Sicily prepare for their new lives in Croatia and, er, Sicily.
So, it's over. First and foremost, my congratulations to Garry, Charles, and Lucas, the winners.
Second, I also pass my congratulations to Phil and Ross, who both got survivals.
Third, my thanks and condolences to Alan, Bryan, Roger, and Jim for sticking it out to the end, as well as special thanks to Jim for coming in as a replacement.
I realize that this game had more than it's fair share of mistakes from me, and for that you have my apologies.
I now invite you all to share your end of game statements on the game.
I'm also interested in your opinion, as I will probably be GMing another variant soon, so I am interested in what variant any of you would want. I was wondering about a Youngstown variant, but I would like to see what people would want to play.
There were a few retreats, but I have just done them as they don't have any effect on the results.
