Hi Players,

Thanks very much to everyone for getting these in a day early. As it turns out, our only dislodged unit was auto-retreated, so we can all relax over the long week-end.

The news of the year is that our stalwart Sultan has been dislodged from his capital. Not what you would call surprising news. He now has one turn to try to find a new home, or slip back into the old one. Odds are pretty near astronomical against, but I've seen stranger things happen!

Nowhere else in the world did we have anyone dislodged.

. After slipping behind the Austrian lines last year, the German army in Galicia changed its mind and hurried back to the home side of the line. I wonder if he ever considered a move to Vienna? That would have had "interesting" results.

. Russia thwarts a German attempt to slip into Livonia.

. England, reveling in a rare feeling of security, moves to recapture London and achieves the expected bounce from the French fleet. Meanwhile, the Germans once again return to NAO. Uh-oh! Why won't he just go away?!

. France takes MAO and I think we can safely call a stalemate in that quarter of the world. Or can we...? The tactical exercise is left for the students to consider.

RETREATS: Turkish A Ankara has been auto-retreated to Armenia. He could, in theory, retreat off the board, but that would just be stupid and petty, wouldn't it? Forget I mentioned it.

END OF GAME PROPOSAL: A draw including Austria, France and Germany has been proposed. Please include your votes with your Fall orders. All players must vote YES for the proposal to succeed. Abstentions count as NO votes.

NEXT DEADLINE: Fall 1915 orders are due Wednesday, November 30, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Standard time. Get 'em in and mark 'em final by Tuesday, and I'll adjudicate early.
