General Info Roster Sign Up Rules Standings WB15 Standings Tie Breaker System
Level 1 Tiebreaker:
In the event of a tied score after applying the SC bonus, the following binary system will be applied to generate a tie-breaker score. This system rewards a solo above all else, and smaller draws above larger draws.
Solo: | 128 tie-breaker points |
2-way-draw: | 64 tie-breaker points |
3-way-draw: | 32 tie-breaker points |
4-way-draw: | 16 tie-breaker points |
5-way-draw: | 8 tie-breaker points |
6-way-draw: | 4 tie-breaker points |
7-way-draw: | 2 tie-breaker points |
Survival: | 2 tie-breaker points |
Elimination: | 1 tie-breaker points |
For example if one player has a solo (20) and 4-way (10), and another has two 2-way draws (15+15) they could have a tie score if their total SC counts match. The player who had the solo would win by tie-breaker points, 160 to 128.
Level 2 Tiebreaker:
If two players are tied after applying the level 1 tiebreaker, then the winner will be determined by adding up the scores of the opponents of the tied players to determine which of them faced opponents that performed better in the tournament.
Your level 2 tiebreaker score will be equal to the sum of the scores of your 6 opponents in round 1, plus the sum of the scores of your 6 opponents in round 2.
For example if two players has a solo (20) and 4-way (10), and the same number of centers, they will tie by the level 1 tiebreaker. The player whose opponents scored better, will win.
Level 3 Tiebreaker:
If two players are STILL tied after applying the level 2 tiebreaker, then the winner will be determined by adding up the ratings of the opponents of the tied players to determine who played the theoretically tougher competition.
Your level 2 tiebreaker score will be equal to the sum of the ratings of your 6 opponents in round 1, plus the sum of the ratings of your 6 opponents in round 2.
Since ratings are carried to many decimals, it is extremely improbable to have a level 3 tie.
