DC224 Slaughter Of StoryTime - The Latest Jam - former.trout (May 05, 2009, 9:58 pm) |
Heya folks,
Here's the latest times and tidings. I have Fall 06 Orders from all but one player. However, that player managed to use someone else's computer to send me word that their own gear had gone bye-bye. They asked that I find a temporary replacement during the short stretch that is needed for the player in question to re-assemble their computer.
There are several candidates that might fit the bill for this, and I've already asked the most likely. Hopefully I'll get word back soon and this will be a very short delay. I will, of course, announce the temp. player once everything is arranged. But in the interests of getting the Fall 06 turn out, I may ask for orders immediately without giving time to diplome. If anyone feels strongly that this shouldn't be done, please let me know ASAP.
That's all that's fit to print. Cheers everyone,

Hi all,
We have another End Game Proposal to vote : It’s the Concession of a Russian solo (although not having 18 sc)
So you have 2 separate votes to submit to me with your next season orders :
1) 3-way draw R/A/F
2) Concession of the Russian solo
Thanks and don’t forget that a non vote is considered as a NO.
Regards,
Jluc.

The GM regrets any interpretations that the Leprechauns were one of the "problem children". Let it be known that the Belchers were front and center and consistently sent in early prelims without an issue.
Now, please point that pint of warm swill in another direction. =P

Welcome Back. if (or indeed anyone in the game) is going to be travelling, away from the net, getting married or anything of those things that get in the way of diplomacy - by all means drop me an email and i am happyt to extend the game. I am sure we would all rather have a couple of longer delays and active players than non active players.

No retreat from France. Just so that we are all on the same page, this is what will occir if France NMRs in Fall 1907 (a possibility we have to consider)
If France fails to submit moves for Fall 1907 then
1) France will NMR and it's units will hold.
2) France will vote NO to any current proposed EGP.
3) France will then go into CD
4) any autumn retreats will be automatically disbanded.
Annoying - YES very.

DC224 - Fall 06 Two Missing Sets Of Orders - former.trout (May 05, 2009, 12:06 am) |
Folks,
Let me tell you a story of a game with 19 players. Now when it started, the GM knew that with that number of folks there would be some slackers and people who missed the deadline. However, over the first six game years, almost all of the problem children were either eliminated or replaced for one reason or other.
But then - just when it looked as though a good solid core of players remained, the GM started getting late orders being submitted by entirely different players... Who had up until then been right on time every turn and consist with their prelims.
Meanwhile, it was the remaining players - those who got their orders in usually the day after an adjudication came out - who suffered and had to grit their teeth at yet ANOTHER delayed adjudication.
This story is going to continue, I guess, to see how the ending is written. However - please be advised that if two missing sets of orders do not arrive within the next twelve hours then we will be seeking another pair or replacements.
Apologies for yet another delay everyone.

DC 254, Spring 1901 - alwayshunted (May 04, 2009, 11:28 pm) |
Hey everyone,
Many apologies. It's been a bit silly these past few days, but we are now underway. There shouldn't be any more delays like this from my end.
So we're underway. No retreats as expected for spring 01. There are some apparently aggressive openings, and one misorder. CHECK THE RULES and your units if you're new or rusty guys. A few provinces have more than one coast......
Here is spring:
--------------------
ORDERS RECEIVED:
Austria:
F Trieste - Venice
A Vienna - Galicia
A Budapest - Serbia
England:
F London - English Channel
A Liverpool - Wales
F Edinburgh - North Sea
France:
F Brest - Mid-Atlantic Ocean
A Marseilles - Burgundy
A Paris - Picardy
Germany:
F Kie- Hol
A Ber- Kie
A Mun- Bur
Italy:
A Venice holds
A Rome - Apulia
F Naples - Ionian Sea
Russia:
F sev to rum
A stp to nor
A war gal
A mos to war
Turkey:
A Con-Bul
A Smy-Con
F Ank-BLA
No retreats needed, so we're on to fall 1901. Nest deadline is in one week, Monday, May 11, 22:00 MDT.
-------------------------
Okay, maps are attached. After this turn I will also show you the adjudication from Realpolitik, but I'm borrowing a computer and I forgot to copy it as I adjudicated, and it doesn't really matter that much for spring 01.... so....
Sorry again for the delay.

DC222 Two Steps To Anarchy - Winter 1907 - Halo - former.trout (May 04, 2009, 10:55 pm) |
Now we're grooving. Sort-of.
Italy builds two armies, England necessarily disbands in the North Sea and the Kaiser gives me a treat and lets ME choose which unit to disband for him. As all Germanys units are one center away from a home dot, I went fleets before armies and alphabetically. The result - the fleet in the Baltic Sea slips below the briny blue.
Deadline for Spring 1908 orders will be set for a weeks time. Please have them in to me by Monday, May 11th (11:59 PM GMT). And you'll note, this is NOT a weekend deadline. Yay!! =)
Cheers all!

All,
I'm sad to say that Lance has NMRed. Lance, you've got 24 hours to let me know you're still with us, or I'll replace you. Also, if you NMR again, I'll replace you immediately.
Amazingly, Russia's position is not affected at all by the NMR, other than the obvious lack of forward motion. In other news around the map, we see England reduced to continental holdings, Italian expansion into southern France, and a widened front line for Austria.
