DC501 - Spring 1905 - Operations   (Aug 22, 2014, 1:56 am)
The year starts with a lot of jostling, but not much major movement. Italy throws it's hat into the ring in the north, and the flow of forces seems to cascade around the lone English military unit, which lives to see another change of color of the leaves.  Two retreats this turn, deadline for those will be August 24th.  France A Munich can retreat to Burgundy, Silesia, Bohemia or Tyrolia
Italy A Warsaw can retreat to Prussia or Livonia

DC501 - Winter 1904 - Operations   (Aug 17, 2014, 11:03 am)
Alright guys, rough turn for me here, first map was correct, I listed it wrong. There is a FLEET in Marseilles. Again, Marseilles has a fleet. Sorry for the confusion.

Marseilles, but as stated it's an army. Here's the corrected map.

Subject: DC501 - Fall 1904

1904 comes to a close with Germany dealt a harsh blow by the
Franco-Russian alliance.
The British Empire loses the capital, but manages to wrest control of Edinburgh back from the Germans, and is able to keep the remaining Royal fleet operating for another year. The big winner is Italy, who snatches two centers from
the Russians while their attention is
otherwise occupied, and pushes the Turks out of Bulgaria. Ok folks, I know the attached Resolution map is a bit confusing right now. Realpolitik won't change ownership of the SCs until I finish the Autumn phase, and the Turkish fleet in Bulgaria has a choice to make in its retreat, so I can't adjudicate that yet. As soon as Turkey gives me their choice, I will send the updated Fall 1904 map with all retreats and territory changes shown, and give you the builds and disbands. Bulgaria can retreat to either Constantinople or the Aegean Sea. I'll make the deadline August 17th, or as soon as he gets back to me, whichever comes first.   England

In my haste to get to Winter, I neglected the fact that although Germany and Russia each only have one place to retreat to, they can also choose to disband.  So again, deadline is the 17th. If I don't hear either way, retreat will be ordered. Bryan

DC501 - Fall 1903 - Operations   (Jul 28, 2014, 7:57 pm)
Well, a big year comes to a close, and so too, unfortunately, does the government of Austria, who is left with no supply centers at the end of Fall's events.  I would like to thank
Peter for playing in my first game as a GM on DC! In the rest of the world, after a flurry of fighting in the Balkans between Russia and Turkey, they manage to fight
themselves to a standstill, with no territory changing hands, even with Italy lending a hand to Moscow. In Europe, England has thrown in on the side of the French to stop the German advance, but to no avail. England now finds itself a target as the Germans open a second front, and the island nation now finds itself host to the forces of all three powers. Deadline for Winter 1903 is July 31st.  Builds/Disbands Austria: Disbands 2 - no SC's held, removed from game England: Disbands 2 France: Builds 1 Germany: Builds 2 Italy: Builds 2 Russia: Builds 1   Austria

DC501 - Spring 1903 - Operations   (Jul 22, 2014, 8:04 pm)
Yes, it's a difference between the official rules, which say any NMR results in CD, and the DC rules, which require two consecutive NMRs. I suppose I thought Realpolitik was created for DC and followed its rules, not the official. Lesson learned.

Made me look.  LOL.  Here it is:I checked the 1976

not enough to change the meaning at all.
Under Civil Disorder:If a player leaves a game, or fails to

So, RP is, in fact, correct in it's adjudication.

DC501 - Spring 1903 - Operations   (Jul 21, 2014, 7:46 pm)
The battle continues to rage as we move into 1903.. Sevastopol wins the blue ribbon in the contest for most contested piece of
land in the region as nearly the full force of the Russian and Turkish military descends upon it. When the smoke clears, it is Turkey which has control, and also still holds the Black Sea. Having acquired a taste for fine French cuisine over the Winter, German troops pay no heed to the new French Premiere's warnings and instead press their attack, marching into the French capital. In the North, Germany and Russia join together to roll back the English fleets, whose orders seem to have gotten locked up in Parliament. With no word from London on what to do, the confused North Sea fleet is scattered to the four winds.  Deadline for Fall 1903 is July 28th.   Austria

DC501 - Winter 1902 - packrat   (Jul 14, 2014, 3:50 pm)
Greetings All!
The newly remodeled French embassies are now open and fully staffed.  Please file yourdocuments of surrender with the receptionist as you enter.  You
will find that the new Frenchgoverment will be taking a MUCH more proactive role in what happens within our borders.
To that end - we would certainly appreciate the Kaiser rolling his forces back home in order to
avoid his sight seeing expedition being taken as an act of war and dealt with accordingly.  Tour
guides will be made available to ensure your staff boards the trains heading in the proper direction.Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this regard.

So... regrettably, we have three NMR's this turn. Either people aren't paying attention to the deadlines, or they're not paying attention to the format rules I've given and so the emails are being missed. Either way, let's hope it's

That will be the policy for anyone who misses two deadlines in a row, by the way.

Has anyone actually heard from Scott? I have sent him several letters and
got one back but
that was before the first turn. This game could get ugly really fast. tim

Apologies, gentlemen, we have some corrections. There was another set of orders that were sent, but labeled incorrectly so they were misfiled. Given that I confirmed them at the time and did not notice the error, I will accept them this one time.
Sorry for the confusion, and anyone who has already sent build orders may of course resend given the modified map. The corrected information follows...

DC501 - Spring 1902 - Operations   (Jun 30, 2014, 8:29 pm)
The beginnings of alliances have formed, and the Austrian military seems to have remembered its citizens languishing within its borders and returned to assist. Time will tell if it's too little, too late. There is one disbandment, and one retreat, but as there was only one option for Norway to take, there's no need for a Summer phase this year. Deadline for Fall 1902 will be slightly extended, to July 11th.   AustriaA Rumania-BudapestA Vienna S A
