Hallöle!
Nathan got his retreat order to me without much delay and now I'm able to publish it. I dare say it may come as a surprise to some.
BTW, if any of you know of nice Caslon-type fonts which feature diacritic marks (or otherwise suitably early modern font), I'd be grateful for such a tip. It bugs me that the extra-large map reads "Dauphine" instead of "Dauphiné".
I forgot to attach the Realpolitik save file to the last adjucation, which is probably just as well since there was a problem in how I had created the module. Since I gave all the minor powers the initial "M", Realpolitik believes they belong to one and the same power when determining victory. I previously thought the "Algiers has won" pop-up messages were merely a minor annoyance, but apparently at some point the programme no longer allows for any orders to be submitted (since it believes the game's over). Rather than not giving the minor power a uniform letter, I now chose to specify for RP that 58 SCs are necessary for victory - that being the most tolerable work-around for this issue. Michael Sims has posted the revised RP module on the DC site, where you may download it. Since the newer version is compatible with the almost identical older one, old save files work with either version. But if you're using Realpolitik, it's time to upgrade. (I'm afraid there's another glitch, the dates, that will be shortly fixed).
The Fall deadline shall be on 22 July. Please send in your preliminary orders as early as possible. You can always change them later. I trust I'm sounding like a broken record, but I can tell you that many mistakes were only avoided because there was still ample time to review orders and submit corrections.
Liebe Grüsse,
Charles
