Let me just add my thanks to Bruce, as well as to the rest of you for an
enjoyable game. I hope to play with you again.

Best for the future,

Gareth

Hey Mike,

I really apprieciate you trying to fill in for Bruce in the end. It
was fine up until France suddenly dropped out without any notice. I
hope she is ok and nothing happened to her. But she was my one main
ally and when she dropped out I was basically just waiting to get
taken out.

I would really like to play another game with the same people who
stuck it out in the end, and you too Mike. I love meeting new people
and playing diplomacy, and diplomatticorp is such a great community of
people.

As an EGS, I would have to predict Gareth winning the game, as he was
already about to take me out and Russia as well. All in all, it would
have been a really good game minus the few dropouts and delays.

Thanks Bruce, very good job GMing this rough game, not sure if you are
a new GM or whatever. And thanks to Jorge, Jeremiah, Steve, Gareth,
and Trout for staying in the game.

Hope to play with you all again!

Joey

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times…

Whatever! Diplomacy is always fun, and this game wasn’t half bad.
Met with some challenges admitted, but we all got thru it, and in the
end, I have to say the remaining 5 were all a very active bunch.
Given how much everyone was wanting to jump up and say something about
getting some closure to this game, I kinda wouldn’t have minded to see
how it would have played out!

But that will have to be saved for another day, another game… for all
5 remaining players have voted for a 5-way DIAS!

Many thanks to all of you. Committed play makes for great challenging
games, and as a direct result of this game, I’ve added those who stuck
it out to the end, to my own personal list of players-to-invite to
special invite-only games that come up on rare occasion.

If you haven’t already, I’d suggest all of you who are interested in
the hobby, to give GM’ing a try. It will take your game to the next
level, as you learn a lot from running games that you don’t see as a
player. If you’d like to run a game, let me know! As a club we need
to always grow our talent base, both as players and GMs.

And now - the final stats!

Karl and Josh unfortunately had early game abandons.

(Thanks again to Trout and Jorge for covering)

Master Trout managed an elimination (is that “managing” something?)

And Jorge, Jeremiah, Joey, Steve, and Gareth get the 5-way Draw.

Bruce, I look forward to you giving GM’ing another go. Hope you don’t
mind me putting a bow on this one for ya.

I think that’s about it! Let’s see, the game played out over 176
days, or about half a year.

EGS (End-Game-Statements) are always welcome and encouraged, to
reflect back on what happened, or where the game might have gone.

Enjoy!

Diplomacy games may contain lying, stabbing, or deliberately deceiving communications that may not be suitable for and may pose a hazard to young children, gullible adults, and small farm animals.
