Prelims.

Today let's take a look at this word, since many of you have not actually submitted these yet, despite a number of days having passed. Nobody is late, there are no NMRs to speak of, but there are still some things lacking - namely, the use of prelim orders.

Pre-Lim

Pre: Coming Before, or preceeding

Lim: An acronym for the latin, "Latesus Isthus Movessus", aka LIM.

(Some would argue that Pre is derived from the latin "Probablus Reallyus Earlius" however this is a common misconception, since there is no probability in sending orders early. They will prevent you from being late 100% of the time, without exception)

So Pre-Lims are what you send in BEFORE your orders are late. Sometimes even early.

Sometimes they will be premature. After all, Premautre and Prelims start with the same syllable, namely the pre. Premature in the case of Diplomacy is not bad, it is simple pre (prior to) Lim (latesus isthus movessus), or, not being late. Prelim orders can always be changed, up until the deadline.
