$10 Wifi is outrageous. We should stand in solidarity against such atrocities. (Thursday is fine).

I'm ok, except I'd like to point out that Thursday is Thanksgiving, at least for us Americans. Might I suggest an extension until Thursday morning/noontime? That gives a bonus day but doesn't put us Yanks at any disadvantage against any last minute squabbling by you slimy Brits/Canadians/etc. It also means, after a wonderful day of family, we'll all come home to the grim realities of a cruel, heartless, backstabbing and lying world. How wonderful!

[quote:8500423241] Can we extend the deadline? I've been at a conference this weekend, and wi-fi was $10 a day, which I consider a bit outrageous. So I've been out of touch. Can we have another few days? And sorry everyone, I have not bee ignoring you. Right now I am on a 20 minute complimentary wi-fi at O'hare, so can't respond right now either. Thanks all. Sorry for the delay. I thought I'd have access.

And the Spring 1901 moves are in...many thanks to all for getting moves in on time, and for getting us the first season in successfully
And a very interesting set of moves it is too, with a mix of orthodox and unorthodox openings...in the West, France seems to be attacking everyone, but finds himself bounced in Burgundy, whilst England commits to the north, and Germany opens fairly neutrally.
In the East, Austria annexes Galicia, but finds two Italian forces knocking on the door in Trieste. Russia sends an army north, and a bounce in the Black Sea suggests Russia and Turkey haven't resolved their differences
Attached are the RealPolitick file for the game, and files detailing the Spring moves and resolution of the moves. The game page on the DC website has also been updated.
We move straight on to Fall 1901, for which the deadline is Tuesday 24th November, 2100GMT

"It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. and sometimes you didn't want to know the end because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing. The shadow, even the darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you - That meant something. Even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn't. They kept going because they were holding onto something."
"What are we holding onto, Sam?"
"That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it's worth fighting for."
