All,
I was myself very surprised not to see more than one order, and in a normal game I would have reminded everyone that the orders were due, and held on the adjudication.
However, this is the Winter Blitz, with its standard deadlines, and I think that everyone should be aware of the rules by now. I've always kept to the same deadlines (although I might be an hour late sometimes) so when the game is due should be no surprise to anyone. The deadline has been published both in the mail I've sent out to everyone and at the Diplomatic Corp site.
Last week was an unfortunate accident in the normal schedule. This was due to the fact that I became sick. I don't think I've been unclear with when the deadlines are, nor why the adjudication was late. Things like that happen, and had I not been able to do the adjudication Garry would have had to step in and do the adjudication. The end result might have been that the spring and summer turn might have been moved a day as well, but in the end we would have fallen back to the same schedule.
There is no problem with sending in preliminaries immediately when the adjudication is sent out.

No great offense intended, because I understand running a game is not easy on any level, but at one point it was established that the deadlines were 2PM EST Monday/Thursday.
And then this changed last week, to the point where players were emailing that orders could be sent in later in the day.
I guess I'm not the only person who slacked off, but there's a bit of a problem when four people were anticipating not having to send orders in so quickly...
