Captain of the Watch

Farsightedness: The Butterfly Effect states that a butterfly that flaps its wings in Malaysia could cause a typhoon in British Columbia. So too could minor variations in one part of the board affect play across the board. The Captain of Watch asesses the board for all possible impacts - both immediate and long-term.

As the Winter Blitz runner-up it is my painful pleasure to congratulate Chris Morse for winning the tournament! The WB is a tough, tough tournament to win and Chris really came thru in style, with fat center counts in each of his 2-way draws. Well done Chris!!!
