El Duce wishes to present to the leaders of European great powers a proposal to end the conflict that has forced pacifistic Italy to defend itself against the anachronistic imperial ambitions of Germany, France, Poland, Britain and Turkey and the cruder Marxist notions of the Spanish and the Soviets.
While some have said that Europe must be either all facist or all communist, it can be both; while some have said that Europe must be either all Islamic or all Christian, it can be both; while some have said that the seas must be all British or all Italian, they can be both; while some have said that Europe must be dominated by Italian infantry or Polish cavalry, both can co-exist.
The proposal, then, is that the nations of Britain, Poland, Turkey and Italy and the Socialist Internationale sign a peace treaty that ends the conflict now. The exclusion of France is, unfortunately, a condition that Italy must demand, as the history books will show that French aggression triggered much of this conflict and has cost many Italian lives.
Shall the guns fall silent? El Duce says yes.=
