Farsightedness: The Butterfly Effect states that a butterfly that flaps its wings in Malaysia could cause a typhoon in British Columbia. So too could minor variations in one part of the board affect play across the board. The Captain of Watch asesses the board for all possible impacts - both immediate and long-term.

Thank you both of you.

I too don't expect to see a retreat from England, but I'd hate to send
out the results early and get an order in minutes later.
