Farsightedness: The Butterfly Effect states that a butterfly that flaps its wings in Malaysia could cause a typhoon in British Columbia. So too could minor variations in one part of the board affect play across the board. The Captain of Watch asesses the board for all possible impacts - both immediate and long-term.

Hey hey - if anyone wants to give me a bit of an update on how TempleCON went, that be great. I write for the DipWorld blog.

This Friday to Sunday (Feb 4-6) is Temnple Con in Providence (really Warwick) R.I.

This is the first stop of four on the Nor'Easter leg of the NADF tournament schedule. DC's own Dirk Knemeyer will be there representing. I, myself, am pretty much retired from face-to-face competition, but I'll be there at some point to say "Hi!", second-guess my betters, and quaff refreshing malt beverages.

If you're in the neighborhood and any of that sounds like fun to you, reply to this post or send me an email.
