Diplomats,

I hear concerns that some people are not responding.

First off - know that that can be a valid tactic in and of itself. Perhaps not the most successful tactic, but a valid one.

Secondly - the Winter Blitz waits for noone. The adjudications are planned to run parallel for all the games - on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. If you have not sent in orders for that turn by the time they are due, you are awarded an NMR. There will be no chasing around, asking for people to submit orders.

Also, something that I forgot to tell you all about:

Remember, that since we are keeping a tight schedule for the Winter Blitz - if for some reason I do not adjudicate on time there are backup GM:s ready to take my place. They will also not go around asking for orders. Instead they will get their orders from the common orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com mailbox. Be sure to send a copy of all orders there as well as to me.

Next turn: Spring 1901 Movement.

Next Deadline: Monday 28th of March 2011, 18:00 GMT (6PM).

/Fredrik

Diplomats,

There has been a slight hiccup in the players for this game. It appears that Bruce was unable to play in the second round. To replace him we have Robin.

Please take your time and introduce yourself to Robin, who is taking over as England.

Oh, and get those preliminary orders in...

Diplomats,

Welcome to the second round of the 2011 Winter Blitz at Diplomatic Corp. I've looked through what you've played in the first round and assigned each of you a new country to play for the second round.

Orders

By this time you should know the drill:

Spring movement on Mondays

Summer retreats on Tuesdays

Fall movement on Thursdays

Autumn retreats and Winter adjustments on Fridays

I will not go chasing you to get your orders. There will be occasions when I send out a reminder, but don't count on it. Send in preliminaries as soon as possible to avoid getting those NMRs.

Voting

I'm fairly certain that you know of the voting rules as well, but here they are:

Proposals are sent in with your orders or made public to everyone.

I will present the proposals along with the next adjudication.

Votes are due in the Spring or Fall.

A unanimous "Yes" is needed for a vote to pass. A missed vote will count as a "No".

Administration

When sending me orders, always include at least the name of the game (dc382) in the subject line. I would also prefer if you include the year and season as well as the country name in the subject. I try to confirm all orders within 24 hours.

The adjudications will include a "dpy" file, the orders and their adjudications, as well as maps of the game. The "dpy" file can be opened by using RealPolitik. For those of you who use RP to enter your orders, I would appreciate if you copy the name of the country as well as the orders when sending them in. It makes it a lot easier for me to enter the orders correctly.

I'll also try to run the adjudications between 8pm and 9pm in Sweden. This will mean that the adjudications will be due by 8pm. For those in Europe, this is in the evening, while in America it comes out at sometime during the early afternoon. I will include the due time in GMT for all adjudications. Note however that the GMT is not subject to daylight savings, etc. It seems that by the first adjudication we'll all have entered daylight savings time however, so that should cause no trouble once you're all used to the time schedule.

If there are any other questions, feel free to send them my way.

With that out of the way, here is the setup for the game:

Next turn: Spring 1901 Movement.

Next Deadline: Monday 28th of February 2011, 18:00 GMT (6PM).

Good luck to you all.
