Hi Players,

Is it really only 1902?  I tell ya, looking at these results, it already feels like twice that many years of carnage.

Season highlights:

The Archduke wakes up to find his situation has... simplified.  From four SC to one, his only choice now is whether to meet his final days at home in Vienna, or take to the high seas with the refugee fleet.

The Archduke's neighbors, meanwhile, are the very models of cooperation and egalitarianism as they each claim one of the formerly red dots.  But what happens now gentlemen?  There is only one Austrian dot left.  Will you be taking turns?  Hmmm....

... Meanwhile, back in the west, it's not all tea and crumpets in jolly old
England.

French troops bloody their bayonets for the first time.  Revenge is sweet in Waterloo, even if it did take 87 years.  "Your mother was a hamster, and your father smells of elderberries!"

Thus, England experiences both joy and dismay simultaneously.  How can you measure the balance?  Well yes, actually, I can.  Make that a +1 net gain for the English, and 2 builds coming up.

Those builds will come in handy, too, what with a German fleet in the North Sea -- Will it still be there after the Winter? -- and a French fleet steaming up from the Atlantic.

And look, more press!

PRESS # 1

Bruce Rayne was insulted.  "How can he call us two-faced?" he asked
Ray Brucea.  "Two brains, yes, for we are smarter than he, but only one
face.  Could a second one be as perfect?"  Ray Brucea, who knew that
both the smarter brain and the handsome face they shared were his, silently
indulged his alter ego.  It was hard to share a body with such an excitable
and insecure fellow, but the alternative was even worse.  The last time
that fool Robin tried an exorcism they had ended with a dead body on the floor
and a burned out mansion.

PRESS # 2

The Austrian Archduke is strong

but I fear that his reign won't last long

above all the shelling

I still hear him yelling

"can't we all just get along?"

The Sultan commanded his fleet

"Go forward, attack, don't retreat!"

His admirals boast

now that they know which coast

they'll gain victory and not defeat

The Englishmen boldly attack

and are showing they have quite a knack

for offending their neighbors

the fruit of their labors

might just be a knife in their back

Italians - they roam far and wide

and are careful 'bout choosing a side

They gleefully chat

about this and that

while watching their neighbors collide

The Kaiser has had a rough night

but things may just turn out alright

When your enemy's clear

don't just show him your rear

and look for someone else to fight

The Russians begin their advance

by doing a curious dance

with a "Hup!" and a "Hey!"

they're making their way

to impale all their foes on a lance

RETREATS:  None.  None of the dislodged units had anywhere to go.

ADJUSTMENTS:  Everybody owes me something.

NEXT DEADLINE:  Adjustment orders are due Friday, April 8, at 18:00 Eastern US time.

Cheers,
Chris

Orders as resolved.  See something wrong?  Say something (nicely) to the GM.
