Hey Guys,

Another doozy of a turn for you here.  I hope you've been keeping your alliance matrix chart in pencil, because I'm thinking it might be time to redraw those lines yet again!

But first, we have press:

Press # 1

Nathan and Nigs sitting in a tree

P-L-O-T-I-N-G

Joe will go, Anthony too

But Ray and Marc will be hard to do

Press # 2

(If you don't recognize these 1963 lyrics from Tom Lehrer I feel sorry for
you)

First Italy got the bomb, but that is good

Pope Nigs loves peace and deserves sainthood

Then the Tsar got the bomb, but that's okay

For the balance of power is maintained that way

The Hun got the bomb, but don't you grieve

'Cause he's headed west, I believe.

The Sultan wants the bomb, but have no fears

He'll be in decline for several more years.

Now France has decided that he wants one too

Just to use on you know who

So England's getting tense

Wants one in self defense

The Lord's our shepherd says the psalm,

but just in case:  We better get a
bomb.

Your GM says to grab some popcorn and dim the lights.  It looks like 1904 is going to be a great year for movies.  Tonight we've scheduled a double-feature.  Kick back and enjoy!

Our first film is titled "Revenge of the Turks."  Bolstered by big, bulky guys in the green jackets, our long-suffering Turkish pledges stage Europe's biggest panty raid on the unsuspecting Russian coeds in Rumania.  The 3-pronged attack succeeds beyond the wildest dreams of our young Turks, who can't help running wildly through the streets of Bucharest waving the captured "flags" of the enemy.  "We've got bush!" screamed the ecstatic General Booger.

Our second feature is more of a rom-com-farce called "Stab Me Tender, Part 7 - Sleepless in Silesia".  The latest installment of this long-running series on the lives of the rich and diplomatic features our sweetly fickle
Kaiser.  You'll recall in Part 6 when our German leader pledged his undying love and gratitude to the Tsar for helping to evict the invading British bullies?  Of course you do.  Well, guess whose four-poster our round-heeled love monkey is swinging around now?  Yup, that's right.  It seems there is nothing quite so irresistible as a man with perfect diction and a well-tailored suit.  Once again it is our poor Tsar who must play the loser in love.  The lyrics may differ (repulsed convoy + unrequited support + backdoor bandit slipping in Silesia) but the song remains the same.  It's cinematic soap at its very finest, and that's why you know you'll be back next time for Part 8 of our ongoing saga of love and betrayal.

RETREATS:  None.  Russian fleet Rumania has been destroyed.

NEXT DEADLINE:  Fall 1904 orders are due Thursday, April 21, at 18:00 Eastern time.

I'm
going to be out of town Thurs-Sat on a college visit with my daughter.  I really have no idea whether I'll be able to get on-line or not.  ***  YOU MUST COPY THE BLITZ ORDERS MAILBOX WITH YOUR ORDERS  ***  If I can't get on-line Mike or Garry will be covering for me, and if they don't find your orders in the blitz mailbox they will NMR you.

Cheers,
Chris

Orders as resolved.  Please review and report any errors.
