Hi Pete,

Yes, that is why I had it 8 hours to begin with. But the days where that has happened, it has ruined my next WORK day, which is just not acceptable.

I think what I'm learning is I just don't want to GM anymore. It is really hard to fit into my professional life. I do it to give back to the DC community but the reality is, aside from being so time-pressed, I do not have the core skills that would make GM easy (being systematic, being detail-oriented).

At this point your grace period is already used so, for this game, it will have no impact.

Hi Dirk.  Thanks for yours.

Can I point out an intrinsic unfairness in your grace period rule; in principle it affects me and I don't know about the others (no idea where they are all based), but it will equally be important in other games you GM.

It is because your deadlines are always at the same time of day - 2200 British time.  A grace period from then, whether of 8 or 6 hours, is going to be entirely when British players are likely to be asleep, whereas those in the New World are wide awake.

If you are going to use grace periods, then they have to be equally available to all players.

Cheers,

Pete
