An interesting game, and I have to admit that it was one that I wasn't
able to focus on as much as I would like. My company was in the middle
of a major software release, so my time to really think, plan, and
discuss with others was pretty cut short. I tried to respond to any
mails received, but one of a few might have been missed.
Archer's observation of EFG was pretty accurate, with no real long term
alliance forming, and at best highly guarded emails flowing between us.
Then came 1906, and England put a plea for the three of us to stop
Archer from winning. I bought into it, thinking of extending the game
and playing for a better position. Chris did not. At that point, my
mood shifted, and I just played for what I got, to not be eliminated. I
figured my best bet there was to strike at Max and attempt, albeit
futilely, to salvage the damage done to the relationship with Italy.
Not that it mattered, I was fine with this ending the way it did. After
that, it became a very quiet game, where no mails were exchanged for the
past few turns. Plus, another unfortunate small email mix-up left me
with an NMR for that second to last turn. Tim, I didn't really bother
to mention it, since I should have been paying more attention to
deadlines, rather than just waiting for your reminders..
Not really sure about ART.. I didn't really have any serious contact
with any of you, and with the way this one moved, it seemed you were
playing in a different game even.
Archer, well played. Not much else I can think to say.
I think I suffered from a standard new-ish player's problem this game,
and that was simply being indecisive. I probably would have been in a
better position overall if I hadn't.

Certainly the game is rigged. Don???t let that stop you; if you don???t
bet, you can???t win.

Congrats Archer on a strong win. There was one retreat which I made
automatically.

Thank you all for making GMing easy I hope that you all enjoyed the
game. Again I apologize for the major error a few turns ago.

End of game statements are highly recommended. Send them to me in the
next couple of days and I will post what I received. I know some
prefer to just e-mail them to everyone so please do if that is what
you prefer. I would be interested in the player perspective of the
game.

Final map and .dpy are attached. Please check for errors.
