Hey all,

Interesting first turn! Everyone got their moves in, so congrats on that! There were some pretty unique openings this game, so I'm excited to see how those play out for everyone. Very few clearly aggressive moves, so the alliance structure is still up for grabs, at least from my bird's eye view. Might be different in the trenches. I like hearing from the players about your plans/discussions/etc as it helps me experience the game a little more.
I had a couple people ask some questions about what I will or will not do as the GM. I will NOT normally check your moves for validity and let you know if they are invalid (or a bad idea, or whatever). In most cases, I don't really even look at your moves until the deadline and I am inputting them into RP. So if you order A Syr-Par, I'm not going to point out the absurdity of that. HOWEVER, you are always welcome to ask me direct questions like "What happens if I order A Syr-Par?" And then I would respond. Likewise, if you want to know about complicated "what if" scenarios involving supports, or convoys, or whatever, I'll always do my best to answer. But I won't take the initiative to correct a move if you write it wrong. The exception would be if you are very ambiguous on a move, I might contact you for clarity (Like if someone ordered F Ska-Nor, for example). It's ultimately your responsibility to submit clear moves, but that would be a situation where I might possibly contact you. If you have general strategy questions, I have to be very careful with those as an unbiased GM. Those I would deal with on a case by case basis.
The real point here is just ask if you are unsure of something. If you ask me a question, I will do my best to answer it, if I can do so in a way that is impartial and fair to all. But if you don't ask, you're on your own.
No retreats, so we move on to Fall 01 on Thursday at 8:00 AM CST (2:00 PM GMT?).

Thanks!
John
