Greetings, Gentlemen!

I hope you don't need me to remind you that tomorrow is the biggest Hallmark holiday of them all -- St. Valentines Day!  Regardless of whether you embrace the day or hide from it, I wish you the best of what you desire.  My personal perspective, having been married for 25 years and having raised three daughters, is not to let your natural male skepticism prevent you from doing something nice for your all your sweethearts.
(p.s. That's something "nice," not flashy and expensive.  You owe to the brotherhood of men everywhere not to raise their expectations too high, your know?  Thanks.)

Episode 8:  Lonely Hearts
Austrians are red,Frenchmen are blue,They're both sad and lonelyAnd out of dots, too.

Comments
That "pop" you just heard is not the waiter opening your champagne, but the sound of the last French army being dislodged, disbanded and dissipated.  Personally, I thought the French idea that the English and Italian fleets just share the opposite coasts of Spain was perfectly reasonable, but "Non," it was not to be.  Au revoir, Monsieur Le President. The
Austrian army in Ukraine
is looking for refuge in Russia.  No luck in Sevastopol.  Not looking
great for the Fall, either, I would say; and yet, if this is indeed the
last quack for our noble ArchDuck, it is looking like it could be the
quack that breaks the Tsar Nicholas' back.Germany and Italy at war!  Well, you might think that, seeing the bounce in Burgundy and the occupation of Bohemia and Tyrolia.  Or then again, you might not.Turkey and Russia at war!  Well, you might think that, seeing the Turks pushing into Rumania and Armenia.  Or then again, you might not.RETREATS:    Russian fleet Rumania auto-retreats to Black Sea.  (NOTE: The only time I will auto-retreat units in the tournament is when there is just a single unit with only a single choice.)  Russia may, if he wishes, decline the retreat and opt to have the unit removed from the board.  He has until 18:00 EST tomorrow, February 14, to so notify me of that decision.

NEXT DEADLINE:  Fall 1904 orders are due Thursday, February 16, at 18:00 Eastern
Time.

Cheers,
Chris
