So too could minor variations in one part of the board affect play across the board. The Captain of Watch asesses the board for all possible impacts - both immediate and long-term.

Both fleets that retreated this autumn are scuttled in the winter 1905 adjustment phase. Meanwhile, more fleets are built to join the fray, plus one more army.
