In spite of a tantalizing Spring 1901, only two centers remain unclaimed: Spain and Sweden. They fart in your general direction, you children of hamsters and elderberry-smelling folk. And yet, in spite of the fact that 10 of 12 neutrals were safely claimed, the board is nonetheless rife with intrigue. In three separate locations, there is a convergence of nations. Rumania looks particularly delicious as a three-nation stew (I bet somebody is not happy there). Russia strides forward in Scandinavia. France protects the home front. And Italy does what Italy does best -- defy reason (welcome to Bohemia).
This sets up Winter 1901, the most important adjustments phase of the game. Indeed, I have ruined positions (my own) with ill-advised Winter 1901 builds before. So, take your time. Consider carefully.
The deadline is tomorrow at 14:00 CST, but remember --
I will not adjudicate tomorrow. Send your orders to orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com where Garry or Mike will collect them for the Winter adjudication.
