Hi Players,
Can't find a lot to say about this turn.  A couple of gambles turned out badly, but not so badly that they seem likely to swing the game balance in the long term.

Before we look at those, let's take care of the political business.

EXISTING END-GAME PROPOSAL:   3-way Draw to include France, Germany and Turkey FAILS to gain unanimous acceptance.  The game continues.
NEW END-GAME PROPOSAL:    DIAS, which amounts to a 7-way draw including everybody.  Please vote with your SPRING 1909 orders.

HIGHLIGHTS:
The Kaiser gambles and loses in St. Petersburg, not realizing that the Tsar would rather see his
former capital in English hands.
Silesia is the opposite story, however, as the Russian gamble to take Prussia fails and he is forced to retreat by the German counterattack.
Turkey maintains some semblance of benevolent big brotherhood by vacating Venice and leaving Budapest and Vienna untouched.And the stalemate in the Western Med continues.

RETREATS:    Russian army Silesia can retreat to Galicia or OTB.
ADJUSTMENTS:  Germany gains position but loses a unit.  All others remain unchanged, since England has no home SC in which to build.
NEXT DEADLINE:    Russian retreat and German removal are due tomorrow, June 1, by 18:00 Eastern
time.  If I get them tonight, I'll post them tonight.
