Hi everyone,

I'm sorry to try your patience for the second time this
week, but I need to make a re-adjudication to the Autumn 04 moves for this game. I apologise most profusely for
this.

To cut a long story short, the source of error here has been my trying to get moves into the adjudication system promptly to hit our deadlines, and me making
errors in doing this.  These errors have partially been caused by my confusion over whether the abbreviation 'nor' refers to 'Norway', to 'North Sea', or to 'Norwegian Sea'. To keep the game moving I've been willling to try to interpret this for myself, in the context of valid orders. To try to stop these happening again, I'm going to become very strict on your responsibility for entering orders in
a non-ambiguous way.

It is your responsibility to ensure that I am able to understand the orders you submit, without ambiguity. In cases where orders could be interpreted in more than one way, I will order the
affected unit to HOLD. I will try to allow time to warn you of the ambiguity, however to keep the game progressing I cannot and will not promise to check your orders for validity every time before the deadline arrives. If you are unsure about using unambiguous notation in entering orders, I suggest you insert the province names in full in your orders.

I have also been asked to split apart the deadlines for the Autumn retreats, and Winter adjustments. This I cannot, and will not do. This is a tournament game, and the rules of the tournament affect all four games being carried out in this tournament, with the intention of making it feasible for the tournament to complete full game years in a week. There will remain rigid deadlines for the remainder of this game:

Mon 2100GMT Spring moves
Tues 2100GMT Summer retreats
Thu 2100GMT Autumn moves
Fri 2100GMT Autumn retreats and Winter adjustments

What you can do, however, is to
make your adjustment orders for winter contingent upon autumn retreats, either by yourself or by another player. This was clearly stated in the email I sent out starting this game off, prior to the Spring 01 moves.
