Hi all,Thanks to John R for handling the game so well. This game was really plagued by NMRs, especially the first one by Austria. I wanted to force a Key Lepanto but got a new ally instead. Hamish was naturally suspicious after seeing the first moves and I wasn’t able to allay his fears. At the same time I was trying to make sure France just couldn’t waltz into the Med since it was clear that England wasn’t going to attack France (yet). In the east, Russia was trying to handle two fronts at once and Turkey had made it clear that he wasn’t going for a two fleets for Turkey alliance. Germany was busy committing slow suicide by aiding England and France. This brings us to Spring 1903 when Hamish failed to order ADR-ION and failed to tell me he wasn’t going to do so. Had I known he wasn’t going to make the move I would have moved Ven-Apu instead of uselessly supporting Ven-Tri. With Turkey in ION in the Spring I didn’t get the build in Naples for owning Spain in the Fall. That was pretty much the end for me, the rest was just trying to organize hopeless last stands. John
