*England is No More*
*Russia Finds Better Things to Do*
*Italy and France Split the Med*
Hey all,
We bid a fond farewell to Dan (England). I know from personal experience that Dan is an excellent Diplomacy player. In fact, every game I try to predict likely winners, and my predictions favored Dan pretty heavily. A good player has fallen, and he never gave up the fight. Thanks for sticking with us.
The Russians, however, appear to HAVE given up the fight. They have two retreats, but the map and dpy show them disbanded, because my hunch is Greg's done with the game. If not, I'll correct the map. Just be aware that those pieces may not, in fact, be gone as you submit your builds. England also technically has retreats, but he's eliminated come winter, so I auto-disbanded him.
Build-wise, we have:
England: -2 (-Lon, -edi) ELIMINATED
France: +1 (+Lon)
Germany: +2 (+Stp, +Edi)
Italy: Even
Russia: Even (-sev, -stp, - 2 units) (if stp and/or Sev retreats, they will be -1 or -2)
Turkey: +1 (+Sev)
Due tomorrow at 8:00!
John
