Note to all players: please be very careful about ambiguous abbreviations.
Please take another look at the Small Print below.

Small Print
I am very much of the persuasion that deadlines are deadlines. Don't be late!
I may (but will not necessarily) remind you of the deadline. I will acknowledge orders received. Latecomers stand a big risk of NMRing, so why not send preliminary (v1) orders now, in case real life intervenes in the meantime? Please put the Game Number, Game Name, Power, Season and order version in the Subject of a new email - don’t just reply to mine, or your orders may be missed. If you send v1 orders I will use them if you send no others (I will always use the last orders you send), so no need to reconfirm if you don’t change them.
The deadlines are set so that I have a good chance to adjudicate without delay. If there is to be a delay I will let you know.
Finally, be careful about the format of your orders:
1. I am often running more than one game at once (and playing a few too) and in a typical week will be receiving around 40 Dip emails, sometimes with order updates from players who like to submit preliminaries or who just change their minds. Please make sure that you put the game number (DC47
, the current season and the name of your Power in the subject line. Give each version of your orders a number so that I can ignore things that have been updated. e.g. DC478 Germany Fall 1901 v1.
2. Try to give me your orders in the format that the adjudication comes out in. It is easier for me to process if you state A Rum-Ser or A Rum-->Ser rather than "Rumania attacks Serbia", or "Rum moves to ser". Neither way is right or wrong, but it helps if you operate on my wavelength.
3. If you order support then you MUST state the location of the unit being supported and where it is being supported to. Thus "A Fin S FNTH-Nw"y is fine, as is "AFin supports FNTH-Norway", etc. I will not accept "A Fin S English attack on Nwy" even if there is only one English unit that could get to Nwy.
4. If you order a convoy you must order the unit being convoyed AND the convoying fleet(s). Thus A Wal-Bre, F ENG c A Wal-Bre is correct. F ENG c A Wal-Bre will not be accepted as A Wal has not received an order.
5. Do not use ambiguous abbreviations e.g. "Liv" could mean Liverpool (Lpl) or Livonia (Lvn). "Nor" could mean Norway (Nwy), Norwegian Sea (NWG), North Atlantic Ocean (NAO) or North Sea (NTH). Some players ( I am one of these) prefer the convention of using capitals for sea areas to aid recognition e.g. GOL, MAO, NTH are seas but Gre, Mar and Nwy are provinces. Feel free to use full names if you prefer (but then make sure you don't mix them up!).

Sorry to all, due to Real World considerations I will be delaying the adjudication until 1000 GMT tomorrow 25th February.
I will accept amended orders up to that time.

I am sorry I cannot produce a map as I am travelling. I hope you can work with what you already have. The map on the website and in the previous email shows current position without builds. I am sure you can all employ visualisation skills!
Sorry for the lack of a smooth service this time. I thought you would all rather not have the game held over, so have rushed this out.

I will be back on Friday and will send a map then.
