Thanks John for GMing a great game.
Had a difficult time for a while, with an ally that took an early bath, then an ally who spent more time trying to get hold of my SCs than working back to back...
But between building some solid working relationships and a great deal of luck, managed to get a foothold in the game.
It did feel somewhat like being at the eye of a cyclone while everyone around me attacked their neighbours in a vicious circle around me - although I wasn't about to play mediator to stop it happening!
You're all such a great bunch, I feel genuinely guilty to those I stabbed at the end - particularly to Michael, my fellow Brit, who was steadfast and trusting and a general all-round great guy. I can only apologise for giving in to temptation!
I look forward to playing with you all again. I tried to be as honest and straightforward with you all as I could, so I hope I haven't marked my own card too badly with you all.
Very best of luck with the rest of the Blitz!
Chris

*Peace Finally Reigns*
Hey all,
The draw failed, and I apparently don't have moves from France. But the best France could have done is given Germany a mere 18 supply centers vs the 19 he ends with. The Germans win, and the first solo of the 2014 Blitz goes to Chris. It was a great game, and having played with many of you, I know there were some high caliber players on this map. May Round two treat you all well!
Rp does not want me to paste the moves after the game ends for some reason, so you'll have to look at the map. But Germany gains Por, Spa, and Mar. I love hearing End of Game notes from everyone. What went well? Where did the game go horribly wrong? What devious machinations were in place? Share your thoughts!
