I'm too voting yes for the 4-way draw, just for the record.

I too agree that this was a very uneven game with two countries not playing, and England semi-playing at best.

I have to disappoint you Babak, I sent in standing orders some time ago, so no more Nmr on my part Wink

Now, if everyone just solos in round two, we will get an okay score at least Razz

i'm going to change my vote to yeas for the 4way draw now.

I wanted to get to 17 and set myself up... and I also was hoping Italy might NMR again ;P

so DIAS is agreed to. it was great playing with you all - though it was not a great game. with 2 players NMRing from the start - it was a very uneven game.

in any case - good luck to all of you for the rest of the tournament.

I concur, there is no way for France to solo. We could even spell our orders out and it would not matter, since the line is unbreakable.

Guys

It is surely now quite obvious that France has played an excellent game to
get to 17 centres. It is also obvious that the combined powers of Italy,
Austria and Turkey have set up an impenetrable stalemate line.

Therefore can we please all agree to a DIAS and prepare ourselves for Round
2 of the competition?

Nick

This message is in reply to post 9596:

The only units that actually move this turn are French. The Turkish army in St. Petersburg now finds itself nearly surrounded by the light-blue meanies. French armies march behind the frontlines through Germany, as Austria concentrates on stopping an attack on Silesia. Every unit in and around Italy remains in place.

No retreats are due, so we proceed directly to fall 1909. We have two endgame proposals to consider as well:
1) a DIAS, 4-way draw
2) a solo for France

Please cast your votes on these proposals along with your fall 1909 orders, which are due Thursday 3/12 at 3pm Central (US) / 20:00 GMT. Thanks!

Cory
