I love this variant. It's Fall of year one and we have the Norwegians and Arabs clashing in Lisbon! The Slavs give the Swedes a good whacking, although in their haste they leave a supply center for the Swedes to retreat to. The Slavs may also be surprised by Danish maneuvers... Indeed, the Danes are at the forefront of this turn, assisting the French against the Burgundians after doing the opposite last season. The Byzantines take Caliphate land, and the Arabs struggle to take Jerusalem and Avignon.

Quite a few retreats for us this turn! Mike, I'm going to auto retreat Viatka to Muscovy unless you say otherwise. It can go OTB. Otherwise:

Danish F Groningen can retreat to Dorestad or Dogger Bank or OTB.
Swedish A Kjonugard can retreat to Smolensk or Burta or OTB.
Independent A Pest is an independent, therefore disbanded.
Arabic A Trebizond can retreat to Khazar Empire or Taron or OTB.
