PREV  Fall 1901 Adjudication:  NEXT

Hi all,

We witnessed a very busy fall turn this year with every neutral supply center being claimed with the sole exception being Greece as Turkey and Austria bounced each other there. Austria’s failure to secure Greece could prove to be fatal as Vienna fell to the Germans and Russians are surrounding the Austrian army in Rumania– perhaps the build that they received this year will be enough to put them in a better position for 1902. Elsewhere, Turkey pulls back from Armenia and Russia fails to shuffle units around in Eastern Europe as Austria claiming Rumania disrupts the Russian battle plans. In the Mediterranean, Italy successfully convoyed an army over to Tunis and kept a garrison in Tuscany, leaving their options very open for 1902. France took a gamble and was able to secure the Iberian Peninsula for two builds, while England ignored the open center of Brest and instead moved into Belgium and Norway uncontested giving them two builds. Germany– arguably the biggest winner this year– walked away with one of Austria’s home centers (Vienna) and the neutral centers of Holland and Denmark giving them three builds.

As the GM I’m fascinated to see how these coming builds will play out and what alliances will be formed in reaction to the first year. Builds for Winter 1901 will be due at 9:00PM EST Sunday October 18. If this is too soon, please let me know and I can push it back if necessary.
