DC191 Study In Baltic - Fall 1906 - The Yellow Face
Watson and Holmes straightened up from their grisly discovery of the cardboard box, the good doctor overcome with horror. "My Lord Holmes!" he exclaimed. "Do you think one of those are hers?"
"Calm yourself, Watson," his friend replied. "Both of those are very masculine ears - I am sure your wife is perfectly safe... Whereas we might not be so lucky." His attention had been caught by the strange apparition on the far side of the road. A child, sitting in a tall tree, wearing a bright yellow mask. With one hand the small figure gripped a stout branch for balance, the other hand was pointed out towards the gravel drive.
In the drive, three very stout Finnish men had appeared, one of whom carried a pistol - the business end pointed directly at Holmes and Watson. "You're to come with us," he barked. "And keep your distance, Mister Holmes. Your reputation at fisticuffs is well known... You can believe that we won't be taking any chances."
"What do we do?" Watson whispered in alarm.
"Why, we go with them," was the reply. "Today the Finnish carry the field...."
-----------------------------
The Finns do have an excellent turn - netting themselves three builds with a string of successful occupations. The rest of the action across the board stabilizes, with the Poles and the Russians exchanging southern centers and Sweden trusting the Fins just one step too far.
No retreats are required after the action of the Fall. Deadline for the Winter 1906 adjustments will be set for Saturday, September 19th (11:59 PM GMT).
Also of note - a DIAS proposal has been put on the table. Please have your yay or nay votes in on this by the Winter Adjustments deadline.
Cheers guys!
