The Draw proposals Passed! See Press! G/E Draw!
Congratulations to all for a great game! I enjoyed the press
and every player fought to the end. Those are the kind of players
I like to have in my games.

End of Game Comments and Statements:
I cant believe it, the game is over!!
You have been a magnificent GM, looking after us for over a
year now, always with great good humor and style!
I always looked forward to getting your mails, and now
there's only one to go...
Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into this
game to make it so enjoyable for me and the others, you are
a true gentleman!.
I look forward to hearing who my opponents were after all
this time! Again, my sincere thanks to you for your great
care and attention given to us.

Do I remember correctly that this game went 13 months without a
single player abandoning the game?? That is amazing!

[A bit of praise for GM and Players, always nice to hear. Thanks!]

-Bill Duncan I am not sure how much my deception campaign
worked, but I was the author of a lot of false press releases.
For example, it was my idea to try to encourage the
Italy-Austria alliance as a threat to Germany, Russia, and
potentially Turkey and France. I also put out some press
trying to mobilize everyone to assist Russia against Turkey (I
do have some earnest Bulgarian sympathy that made that easier).
I also couldn’t help but put out some Anti-English propaganda
just to further confuse the situation (I have even more earnest
Irish sympathy).

I clearly benefitted from Russia choosing to commit to the
southern campaign. The most critical point was when France and
Germany both sent offers of alliance to me against each other.
It was hard to pick against France, based on the board position
at that moment. However, strong France requires the UK to go
exclusively East, and I much prefer to push South to the Med
even if it means ceding a lot of supply centers to my Ally.
Honestly I was not sure either alliance could last, but Joe's
willingness to minimize his ability to stab me made it work.

Congrats to Joe especially for having the stamina to grind it
out on the ground and the stubbornness to demand a 2-way.
Cheers for the great game to Hugh and all the players. This
was the most fun for me yet. Looking forward to playing you
all in the future.

[Press is very important in Gunboat games, well done!]
