DC 212 Error in adjudication - fredrik at familjenblo...   (Apr 15, 2009, 12:34 pm)
All,

Here is the map:

2009/4/15 Rachael Jameson <verticallychallangedcutie(at)yahoo.com (verticallychallangedcutie(at)yahoo.com)>

Folks,
Fredrik found an error in the adjudication and he was correct. It was an error on my part and a big one.. I am really sorry guys. With the new fix the map does indeed change, as well as some armies moved into centers. Stephen or Trout realpolitik keeps crashing for me when I try to save the bmp to send out the map. If one of you could shoot out the new map I would be very greatful! Here's the change to the map.

Austria:

A Galicia - Ukraine

Also we have two retreats needed due to this change. Russian A Sevastopol can retreat to Moscow. Russian A Ukraine can retreat to Moscow.
Taylor please let me know which you would prefer to keep and which you want otb.

New Deadline it set for Mon April 20th at 7pm CST ( 11:59 GMT )

DC219, A GM and his OLD smoking Computer - m_don_j   (Apr 15, 2009, 7:05 am)
Fellow players,

As you might guess by the subject-line, my computer has retired. Permanentley. I'm working on a solution, but it will take at least a week before I'm back in buisness for real. So, either we can postpone the game untill I'm back 100% or I can ask someone like Sims, or Stephen to run the game while I'm away. Your choice, so just let me know asap.

G2g, my gf is bashing me for borrowing her computer (which I could have done to keep the game running, if it wasn't for the fact that she's leaving on a 3 week vacation) Sad

For years I have been wanting to try my hand at another prize game,
perhaps I can win again.
So here is a chance for you to defeat me and grab $100.00 Canadian.

Except for the GM it is a gunboat game with Grey Press, see Rules!
Your Email Address is your key to the game, you must always use the one
you signed up with!

The GM will will be playing the Roman Empire position, you will know
the Roman moves before you create your own.

The following must be the first item on the sign up Email Page:
- The GM will distribute the $100.00 to the winner of the Bond game.
The GM will not be a party to or recognize any monetary agreement
between players.  Promising to split the pot is the same as promising

and you do not have to keep your word.  You agree that promises
made, even if written and signed, have no legal standing
after the game is finished. -

To sign up for the game you must send in a Preference list for the Barbarians

DIPYCORP PRESS RELEASES
Dear Uncle Bertie,

In the name of our alliance I hope to annex the friendly
peoples of Marseilles and possibly Spain.

If you could order your Fleets to occupy Portugal and get into
the Mediterranean we would be set fair to hold back the
Islamisist hordes..

In the meantime it would improve our already good relations if
you would withdraw your F from DEN to a nearby province such as
SKA, SWE or even NTH.

This would allow our Great German people the opportunity to arm
even more armies and allow us to defend our Eastern borders
against the infidels..

Yours in trust,

Bertie

“I’ve got to admit it – I’ve flamingoed up.” “You what?” “It's like a cock-up, only much, much bigger.” – Red Dwarf, “Parallel Universe”

So, you’re wondering, who hid a fluffy pink flamingo amidst his orders? Well, I can’t say for sure, but a memo was missed, or wires crossed, or dastardly underhanded undermining was undertaken… but while Russia ordered a supported procession of armies from Bohemia to Berlin to Denmark, Austria ordered Tyrolia to support Berlin… to hold. Consequence? The English are in Berlin.

Consequently, the big 5:5 in Rome – which I expected would be the lead story – falls to page 2. And the English capture of StP was so foregone as to be buried in the classifieds section next to the really easy crossword puzzle.

The Russian Army in St. Petersburg may retreat to Finland or OTB
The Russian Army in Berlin may retreat to Prussia or OTB

I have taken the liberty of adjudicating both retreats as not disbanding, but Mr. Lytton can correct me if he prefers otherwise (deadline: tomorrow at 1000 CST / 1500 GMT). Hey guys, sorry about the wait.  On top of it being Easter weekend, I ended up getting sick, so this wasn't really a priority for me.  In other news, the draw proposal failed once again, so we get another set of moves.  There's no retreats necessary (only one unit was defeated and it had to go) so we'll move straight into the winter.

DC205 The Pleiades - Spring 1913 - Sadistic Bunnie... - former.trout   (Apr 14, 2009, 12:29 am)
Heya folks.

Now don't get me wrong..  I love family.  But honestly - don't weekend long family get-togethers just physically and mentally exhaust you?  Holy smokes...

Hope everyone had as great an Easter as I did.  *evil grin*  =P

So speaks the big jerk.  Now, onto the game.  No retreats are needed, but some of the French corners are beginning to show wear as the good people of Munich must once again put on their Russian hats.  Those big furry ones the size of bowling balls.  Yeah, those.

As for the DIAS proposal, well, one or more of you fine generals have said that they want more blood and violence.  Easter carnage is apparently great for business.  So onwards we go!!  Deadline for Fall 1913 mayhem will be set for Monday, April 20th (11:59 PM GMT).

Cheers all!

DC-239 Open letter to Russia - packrat   (Apr 14, 2009, 12:04 am)
Dearest Tsar;

Here in England I cannot help but wonder what you are up to.
NONE of the emails sent to you, from various accounts, have been
answered. In all honesty if you are not going to play the game, then
please get the hell out of Dodge. Much time gets devoted to these
games and it sucks to have a player sit there with his thumb up his
ass wondering what the hell to do. I have made you sincere offers
and you still sit there. I am growing tired of this nonsense. I can take
getting taken off the board by France and Germany, but your actions
are singularly frustrating.

Can you please do me the courtesy and at lease tell me WHY you have
been ignoring me this entire game?

Scott
