Good news and bad news greeted Dmitri Ivanovitch that morning. Reviewing the latest intelligence reports at his desk in Moscow, he piled the good items on his right and the bad on the left. This day was a good one – the piles seemed evenly split.
Good – the surprise convoy attack on the Turkish in Ankara had gone off without a hitch. With most of their force occupying Greece, it was doubtful that the Sultan would be able to recover.
Bad – the Germans had steamed full-bore into the Gulf of Bothnia. It looked as though St. Petersburg, stolen from Russian control by the hapless British, was at risk.
Good – their Italian allies had ventured into Trieste and prevented the Habsburgs from supporting a German attack on Budapest
Bad – the French still seemed to be defying common sense and aiding the Germans dismantle Italy.
In all, the intelligence reports seemed to split into two patterns. Either there was good news concerning the Russian attempts to unify Europe against German aggression – or there was the bad news concerning other powers that seemed to be doing all they could to aid and abet the Kaiser.
Still – the news was evenly mixed. The piles were even… It was a good day for Dmitri Ivanovitch. ---------------------------------------------------------

The German wave sweeps closer to victory in Spring 06 as the Kaiser's forces storm into Rome and Vienna and threaten many more centers for the Fall. France continues to cast Paris' lot with Berlin, and Turkey convoys to Greece even as Russia convoys to Ankara.

No retreats required, so unless any mistakes or errors are spotted we'll move directly into Fall 1906. I'm tentatively setting the Fall deadline for Monday, September 10th (11:59 PM GMT.) However, one of our member is on vacation from the 6th to the 13th - so if he requests me to adjust the deadline I will do so.

Cheers folks,

Trout

Diplomacy games may contain lying, stabbing, or deliberately deceiving communications that may not be suitable for and may pose a hazard to young children, gullible adults, and small farm animals.
