That's they way we did it on Cat23 too.
I mean, seriously, the rule is clear enough, any unit not ordered to move holds.

I agree - hard if the non-order for a Hol was accidental, but that is the norm in all the DC games I've played. wasn't the way I played face to face when I started out, but it is the usual practice here and on Dip2000.

If army Holland was not ordered - AT ALL - then the unit holds. Allowing
it as an "understood" order by virtue of there being a convoy order would be
a HUGE error on the part of ANY GM.
Darryl DID recognize the CONVOY order as is evidenced by the dashed lines
if you back up RP and look. Any good GM would not assume F NTH convoys
HOL to LON. Sure, that would obviously be the intent, but that's the sort of
misorder folks do all the time. The rules state that any UNIT not ordered holds.
Now, if you DID order Holland to London that's another story.
If you want to NMR, knock yourself out.

Hi folks,
I understand that Darryl has decided not to recognise my Convoy order. I have asked for a second opinion. As a GM I tend to adjudicate on a common sense basis where possible and I do not think there is any confusion in the orders I submitted. I shall not submit any further orders in this game until I hear from Mike. Hope thats ok - I do not mean to attempt to undermine GM rule, I have plenty of respect for Darryl and the job he is doing - I just do not agree with this instance of it.
Best

Still have not received any communications from Turkey; though, again, I don???t think it would have made any difference. Turkey is eliminated.
Both retreats only had one viable option on the board, so they were performed automatically. Doug, Greg, if either of you would have preferred that your unit was retreated OTB, please let me know with the Build/Disband Orders.
