Captain of the Watch

Farsightedness: The Butterfly Effect states that a butterfly that flaps its wings in Malaysia could cause a typhoon in British Columbia. So too could minor variations in one part of the board affect play across the board. The Captain of Watch asesses the board for all possible impacts - both immediate and long-term.

The draw fails but is quickly re-submitted. So votes on the E/F draw will be due Monday with spring moves.

We've got some new recruits being trained as an army in Rome, and construction has just been completed at the docks of Marseilles.
