Farsightedness: The Butterfly Effect states that a butterfly that flaps its wings in Malaysia could cause a typhoon in British Columbia. So too could minor variations in one part of the board affect play across the board. The Captain of Watch asesses the board for all possible impacts - both immediate and long-term.

Don't forget, fall 1902 orders were due about 30 minutes ago... I am still missing orders from at least one player. I will be stuck in a legislative hearing that is supposed to start at 4:00 - which means it could start over an hour later - and depending on how things go, I may not be able to send results until sometime after 7:00 (all times US Central). So please take advantage of this bit of grace period and make sure you submit your orders. If you have not received a confirmation e-mail from me, then I don't have your orders.
